Ay! Corona

Who hasn’t heard about the Covid-19 (aka Corona Virus) by now? Now in more than 85 countries, more than 100,000 confirmed cases, Corona virus is a full pandemic taking place.

I’m living in Brussels, Belgium. Here, things are no where near as bad as they are in Italy but the government needs to be prudent and has decided to take measures. The schools have been out for a week, most people have started working from home and as of this morning we are now officially on lockdown.

In practical terms it means, everything, except for supermarkets are closed until April 5th. Supermarkets will only allow certain number of people at a time which means long ques and long waits.

In the coming weeks, I will share simple recipes and tips and tricks here and on my Instagram @cuizzine to try and inspire you for dinners, snacks and treats you can make with the family to pass the time.

Stuck for ideas? Send me a list of what you have and I will come up with a recipe for you. Cuizzine’s #whatisleftinyourfridge challenge is on!

In the meantime, here is the WHO advice on how to keep healthy.
